3rd NOTOX Progress Meeting

11-12 June 2012, Stockholm, Sweden

On 11 and 12 June 2012, NOTOX project partners came together at the Karolinska Institute (KI) in Stockholm for their 3rd progress meeting. The meeting featured presentations on the scientific progress and the results achieved so far. In the inspiring surroundings of the library at Karolinska Institute, home of the Nobel Assembly and one of the world´s leading medical universities, NOTOX scientists presented the work carried out in the individual Work Packages and discussed the way forward for the next weeks and months. For the first time, the progress meeting saw more detailed breakout sessions for each of the Work Packages, which provided the opportunity for project members to talk more specifically about the challenges and perspectives of their activities and agree on concrete tasks and timelines for their sub-groups. The consortium also discussed the upcoming first project report which it will have to deliver to the EC and responsibilities in this context were clearly allocated. The meeting also included a short report on the status of the NOTOX film, which will be finalized towards the end of 2012.

In summary the progress meeting was characterized by very intense and fruitful discussions on the results obtained to date and the next steps to be taken. NOTOX partners agreed to hold the next meeting in March 2013 at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in Strasbourg.
